Research
The main research fields of our groups at the Universities of Frankfurt, Bonn and Würzburg in close cooperation with Prof. Müller-Reible (Division of Molecular Genetics, Biocenter Würzburg) are the exploration of the vitamin K cycle and the Gamma-carboxylation, hereditary disorders of coagulation, especially deficiencies of factor VIII (Haemophilia A) and factor XIII, SNP maps of coagulation genes and the genotyping of patients with Hereditary Angioedema. The projects are supported by the BMBF programs "German Human Genome Project", "Functional Proteom Research", "National Genome Research Net Cardiovascular Disease", the DFG, the GTH and the industrie.
